Kansas City DUI Checkpoint Leads to 18 Arrests

dui-beer-pictureKansas City police stopped 527 vehicles during an overnight sobriety checkpoint that was conducted between the hours of 10 p.m and 4 a.m. on July 24th and 25th, resulting in 18 arrests.  The checkpoint was located at the 3700 block of Independence Avenue.

Several other citations were issued, including two for possession of marijuana.  Nine people were issued citations for driving with revoked licenses, and two for possession of drug paraphernalia as well.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol helped with the checkpoint.  During this time period, 25 city arrest warrants and one state were served.
